Collapsible impellers are available for mixing agricultural chemicals, herbicides, fungicides, pesticides, or fertilizers in tote mixers. Conventionally, the diameter of a mixer’s impeller is limited by the small opening in a tote, but not with Dynamix’s collapsible impeller.
When on the field, portability is an essential feature required for mixing many agricultural chemicals. True portability allows the mixer to be installed by one person; enabling you to address uniformity issues on-site, or on your client’s site.

The Integrated Tote Mixer (ITM) is a shift in how mixers are selected for totes or intermediate bulk containers (IBCs). Our impeller technologies enable our team to select a mixer that will perform according to your agricultural chemical mixing application. This is not common in an industry that still tries to offer standard “off-the-shelf mixers” for totes or IBCs.
This technology and approach have enabled your tote to become a process vessel; one in which you can control the quality of your mixing.
The ITM line of mixers, and the innovations it embodies, are the result of years of designing and engineering mixers for unique tote applications. Due to their agricultural use, these are sometimes referred to as pesticide mixers or fertilizer mixers.

The Integrated Tote Mixer design allows you to easily re-configure the unit by mixing and matching the drive and agitator segments, meaning you can use the same tote mixer drive across multiple totes on agricultural chemical mixing applications.
Since the two components are designed to attach and detach without using tools or brackets, you can now assemble the tote mixer that your process needs in seconds, similar to how a ratchet set works. This cost-effectively eliminates product cross-contamination by sharing the drive segment across totes without sharing the agitator segments.
In the past, using larger impeller blades for mixing in a tote has been a challenge for most agricultural chemical applications. At Dynamix, we’ve designed collapsible impellers to fit through the small openings of the totes used as mixing vessels for fertilizer, herbicides, and other agriculturally related chemicals. For instance, our 4-bladed collapsible impellers allow blades of up to 20” in diameter to enter through the small openings of a tote; creating the controlled mixing you would expect from a larger mixer. Overall, properly sized blades help the process manager to achieve better product quality, mixer performance, and energy efficiency.
